After announcing periods of closure of the factories dedicated to battery cars in Zwickau and Dresden, due to the crisis in Ukraine and the problems for the cable suppliers who are located in that country, now it is the turn of the ‘factory – armored’ of Volkswagen, that of Wolfsburg, which will have to reduce the activity from the week of March 6 and if there are no positive news, suspend it completely from March 14.
The Golf 8, which remains the top model of the German group, will be compromised by the non-delivery of components. As the authoritative Automotive News Europe points out in reporting this news, the Emden and Hanover factories, where commercial vehicles are built, will also have to suffer the effects of this lack of components.
