The new Fiat Ulysse is fully electric and designed for travel comfort. In fact, it is called E-Ulysse, the van with the plug with which Fiat returns to the European segment of the so-called MPV, Multi Purpose Vehicle. The same name as the previous model produced until 2010, E-Ulysse is also the model in the Fiat range that marks a new stage in the direction of sustainable mobility initiated by the new electric 500. Fiat E-Ulysse was also troubled with a nod to transport, shuttle and hôtellerie services.
The new E-Ulysse is distinguished by its compact dimensions and the resulting possibilities in terms of handling and the possibility of using underground parking spaces thanks to the height of under 1.90 meters. These features, together with the modularity of the interiors and the capacity to accommodate up to 8 people, make it suitable for transport services for hotels, taxis and VIP transfers. Equipment and performance are in line with the needs of the customer for whom Fiat has thought of the newcomer. The battery capacity is 75 kWh and the expected mileage reaches 330 km in the WLTP cycle. The maximum speed is 130 km / h and the power of 136 hp.
Equipped as standard with a 100 kW fast charge system to charge the battery to 80% in just 45 minutes, E-Ulysse can be recharged in domestic mode or at public columns with the three-phase 11 kW MODE 3 cable and the Wallbox by Mopar . On the ‘cockpit’ side, E-Ulysse focuses on comfort, declined in the internal configuration of the spaces, similar to that of a ‘living room’ where colleagues or customers can be accommodated. Also new is the device for air sanitization by means of internal UV-C ultraviolet light. The customer can use the equipment on the vehicle and move it to different places, for greater hygiene inside the cabin by eliminating most of the bacteria that enter the passenger compartment.
In the Lounge set-up there is the possibility of having a real living room on 4 wheels, with five comfortable seats in the back. In addition, the double folding table can slide between the second and third row and constitutes a support surface for the most varied activities. E-Ulysse, both in the 7-seater ‘Salotto’ variant and in the 8-seater Shuttle, has all the rear seats mounted on rails, so that they can be moved easily, reclined or even removed with simple operations.
E-Ulysse, manufactured at the Stellantis plant in Hordain, France, will be available for order in March in Italy, Germany, France and Austria and will be available at dealerships from May.
