Ferrari is ready for the electric challenge

Ferrari is ready to focus on electric, although it has given an answer on the importance of internal combustion engines for the brand on the occasion of the presentation of the Purosangue, proposed only with the naturally aspirated V12. Now, however, according to statements by Ferrari CEO, Benedetto Vigna, to Bloomberg, the “red” is about to get the shock, with an electric car that will mark a turning point, but which will essentially focus on driving emotions, as befits the creatures of Maranello. For Vigna, electrification will make it possible to offer Prancing Horse customers the same emotions transmitted by internal combustion engines. Ferrari, therefore, will have to work to emphasize the emotional side deriving from the adoption of the electric motor. In fact, as the CEO of the Maranello company underlined, the combination of the various factors from which the driving sensations of the brand’s sports cars arise must not change with the energy transition. All this excitement regarding battery power also derives from the work done in recent years by Tesla which, according to Vigna’s statements, has given a jolt to the entire sector. However, Ferrari’s mission is different from that of Tesla, which paved the way for the creation of practical cars for zero-emission travel. Indeed, the cars from Maranello must offer unique driving emotions, even without polluting.
