The nomination committee of the supervisory board of Volkswagen AG has nominated Günther Horvath for election to the supervisory board of the Group.
A lawyer partner of the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer since 2017 when he founded his own law firm, Horvath will take over the supervisory body from Louise Kiesling, who died in December.
Born in Salzburg in 1952, Horvath studied law in Graz and New York and has been a legal entrepreneur for over 40 years. He has been a member of the supervisory board of Porsche Automobil Holding SE since 2018 and has served on the board of directors of numerous industrial foundations.
