Andrea Montermini returns to the International GT Open. The driver from Modena, formerly of F1, relaunches the challenge in the continental series that crowned him champion in 2013 and even earlier in 2008, in which he has so far collected 20 race successes. Montermini has planned the racing season again with the Swiss Gino Forgione, starting on the Ferrari 488 GT3S cared for by AFCorse, a team that will soon also prepare the 296, the brand new Cavallino supercar. The crew tested their harmony in 2022, again in the international arena of the Le Mans Cup, with excellent results and several podiums.
Twenty days are missing from the first test sessions scheduled by the team on 5 and 6 March on the Portuguese circuit of Portimao, while on 15 and 16 March they will be in Spain in Barcelona for the entire International GT Open. Two occasions for the expert driver and tester together with the good Swiss gentleman driver, in which the set-up of the Maranello supercar in the 2023 version can be defined and the feeling with the car refined.
