The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region confirms, also for the next three months, the extra discount on petrol and diesel, “a reduction that proportionally involves the entire region. Friuli Venezia Giulia is the only territorial reality to have implemented such measures consistent and is ready to continue in this direction if necessary”. This was announced by the president of Fvg, Massimiliano Fedriga, on the sidelines of the session of the regional council which confirmed the extra discount on fuel until 31 May. The regional executive has decided to extend the discounts on petrol and diesel established on January 20 and valid until February 28. According to the Giunta, as reported in a note, “the reasons that had led to the approval of the extra discount, linked to the strong price increases and the competition from distributors across the border, remain”. The goal is “to limit the so-called ‘fuel tourism'”. The discount – the Region recalls – is valid for all Municipalities. In particular, an extra reduction of 10 cents is foreseen for the approximately seventy Municipalities whose territory is located less than ten kilometers from the national border. Until May 31st in the Municipalities of Zone 1 the discount of 29 cents per liter for petrol and 20 cents for diesel remains confirmed. For the Municipalities of Zone 2, the discount of 22 cents for petrol and 16 cents for diesel will remain. The application of the extra discount of ten cents per liter for petrol and diesel is confirmed in the 74 Municipalities included in the border “zero range”. The discount of an additional 5 cents for hybrid cars also remains confirmed.
