Fuel bonus for road haulage, the procedure is online

15 million euros are on the way to offset the increases in the cost of fuel in favor of road haulage companies. On fuelbus2022.consap.it it is possible, from 12 this morning, to enter the grant applications on the platform.
The disbursement of the available funds was established with a decree from the MIT, informs a note, which identified Consap for the management of the related obligations. These are funds intended to deal with the expensive fuel due to the international geopolitical crisis and refer to purchases, made in the second quarter of 2022, intended to power low environmental impact M2 and M3 buses (methane – CNG, liquefied natural gas – LNG, hybrid diesel/electric, with internal combustion engines of at least Euro 5 class), for authorized road haulage companies providing passenger transport services, not subject to public service obligations. Grant applications, up to a maximum of 20% of the expenditure incurred, can be entered on the platform until 12:00 on 13 March 2023.

The initiative – a Consap note subsequently explains – is aimed at companies authorized to exercise the profession of road transporter of people, not subject to public service obligations, which carry out inter-regional services under state competence; holders of authorizations issued by the Regions and local authorities; who carry out transport services by renting buses with drivers. The contribution, designed to offset the increases in the cost of fuel due to the international geopolitical crisis, concerns the purchase, made in the second quarter of 2022, of fuel intended to power low environmental impact M2 and M3 buses (methane – CNG, liquefied natural gas – LNG, diesel/electric hybrid, thermal engine at least class Euro 5). Companies meeting the aforementioned requirements can apply for the contribution – which is paid up to a maximum of 20% of the expenditure incurred – by registering on the Fuel bus 2022 IT platform and filling in the application form available from 12:00 on 20 February 2023 until 12:00 on 13 March 2023. The resources allocated for the initiative amount to 15 million euros. If the limit is not sufficient to cover the applications admitted to the benefit, presented in the established period, the proportional distribution will be made between the companies. “The initiative – declares the CEO of Consap, Vincenzo Sanasi d’Arpe – takes place within the framework of refreshments designed to deal with the socio-political crisis resulting from the situation of profound geopolitical and economic uncertainty deriving from the conflict in Ukraine. Aware of the importance of the role it is called upon to play – concludes the CEO – Consap will work to carry out the task as efficiently as possible, guaranteeing the allocation of resources to companies that have correctly submitted the application by the March 13 deadline “.
