Honda CR-V Hybrid Racer, track hybrid

We are usually used to a Honda CR-V Hybrid designed to contain emissions and offer crossover ride comfort, but the men of the performance development division, of the auto development center, and the designers of the North American division of the brand, have a particularly high-performance setup.
We are talking about the Honda CR-V Hybrid Racer, a version designed exclusively for track driving with an overflowing power of around 800 horsepower. To find out more details, we will have to wait for February 28, when it will be officially unveiled, but in the meantime, its potential can already be guessed from the official photos.
The carbon fiber car body rises in the rear area in a highly scenic manner, given that the roof and rear doors also take on the appearance of a single body. The wheel arches have been enlarged dramatically, and both the splitters and the side skirts recall those of the DTMs of yesteryear. An exaggerated wing appears on the tailgate, while lateral aerodynamic elements embellish the front and rear area. There is no shortage of air vents on the side and on the front wheel arches.
The passenger compartment has been reduced to the bare bones, and all information can be read from the built-in screen on the steering wheel. It remains to understand the thermal basis and the electrical component of the power unit, even if in Casa Honda there would be the powertrain of the NSX from which to draw.
