“The proposed Euro 7 regulation risks making the zero-emission offer of the European automotive industry less competitive in favor of non-EU manufacturers, jeopardizing the competitive positioning of the European supply chain”. So the representatives of Anfia, the national association of the automotive industry, in a hearing at the Production Activities commission of the Chamber. Anfia judges the Commission’s proposal “unacceptable” and hopes that it will be “profoundly reviewed during the codecision process between the institutions”. “Unbelievable”, continues the association, “the implementation times of 2025 for light vehicles and 2027 for heavy ones”. “We ask for an extension of at least two years for cars, three and four years for vans and heavy commercial vehicles”, concludes the association.
