Drunk and newly licensed car crashes into stationary cars

Drunk and, according to the rules of the road, a newly licensed driver, he goes at full speed on Viale San Bartolomeo in La Spezia, loses control of the car and crashes into parked cars. He waited in the driver’s seat for the municipal police to arrive and subjected him to a breathalyzer. The 21-year-old boy residing in La Spezia had a blood alcohol level of almost 2 g/l. Most of the Municipal agents discovered that he had had his driving license for less than three years, and therefore was essentially a novice driver, a category of people for whom the Highway Code does not even allow the minimum tolerance range of 0.50 g / L.

A communication for the crime of driving while intoxicated will be forwarded to the public prosecutor’s office against the boy, with the provision of imprisonment from six months to one year and a fine from 1,500 to 6,000 euros, increased by one third to half as a novice driver and further doubled for causing a road accident. As for the driving license, immediately withdrawn during the investigations, it will be suspended for a minimum period ranging from one to two years, with the forecast of doubling it both for having caused a road accident, with an alcohol content exceeding 1.5 g /l, and because the car he was driving did not belong to him but to a third party, unrelated to the crime. The boy will also have to undergo the medical examination ordered by the Prefecture with the order of suspension of the driving document, a document which could even be revoked by the Court with the sentence of conviction. The score on the driving license will be reset to zero, with the consequent obligation to undergo the technical fitness to drive exams again.
