The Imola racetrack turns 70, the Superbike is back

The highlight will be from 19 to 21 May, with the Formula 1 GP of Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna, but the main novelty of the season calendar of the ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’ racetrack in Imola will be the return, distance of four years, of the Superbike World Championship, from 14 to 16 July. These appointments, in the year of the 70th anniversary of the circuit, are flanked by the European Le Mans Series, from 4 to 7 May and consolidated events such as the Aci Racing Weekend (21-23 April) and the Civ moto (6-8 October). Another novelty is the passage of the Mille Miglia, scheduled for 13 June. Space once again for non-motor events, such as the Triathlon, the Giro dei Tre Monti, the Exchange Exhibition organized by Crame and the Go Smart Go Green event on sustainable mobility.

The first step for the 70th anniversary of the inauguration, which took place on 25 April 1953, was to create the new logo and the task had been entrusted to a young woman from Imola, Giulia Mongardi, enrolled in the Iaad (Institute of Applied Art and Design) of Bologna. Her 70 years of life are also in a book by Pino Allievi, signed by the Gazzetta dello Sport: ‘Imola, the novel of the racetrack’. Finally, the official app of the Imola racetrack is born with all the useful information on the events.
