Genoa, a new municipal cycle parking in Piazza De Ferrari

Inaugurated and already open in Piazza De Ferrari, the second covered bicycle parking, with 16 spaces, in the municipality of Genoa after the one in Largo Zecca. The bike parking is located at the entrance to the underground station and can be reached by going down from Largo Pertini (stairs side of the De Ferrari underground access) or, arriving from Salita San Matteo, from the underground entrance, at the red number 31, in front of the Chamber of Commerce.

The covered cycle parking was created by the Municipality of Genoa as part of the Caruggi integrated plan and the “twin” in front of it will soon be open, which will allow the offer for two-wheelers to be doubled. The facility will be managed by Genova Parcheggi which will issue a free badge, upon payment of a 5 euro deposit, to Genoese residents and visitors to the city who want to leave their two-wheeled green vehicle in a safe place. The badge will allow access to the club and the storage of one’s bike for the time necessary to satisfy the cyclist’s needs. The “bicicard” which will give access to the two new bike parking spaces, Largo Zecca and Piazza De Ferrari, can be activated from Monday to Friday at the Genova Parcheggi office in viale Brigate Partigiane 1.
