Christian Vollmer, formerly a member of the Volkswagen brand executive committee with responsibility for production and logistics as well as a member of the extended executive committee of the Volkswagen Group, has joined the board of directors of Seat SA.
In the new position that he will assume immediately, Vollmer joins the other members of the management board, who are Thomas Schäfer (chairman), Daniela Cavallo, Luis Comas Martínez de Tejada, Patrick Andreas Mayer, Stefan Piëch, Josep Piqué and Mark Porsche. Member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen brand for production and logistics since 1 August 2020. Vollmer has also been a member of the extended executive committee of the Volkswagen Group since September 2022.
Between 2018 and 2020, Vollmer led the production and logistics of Seat SA in a period of digital transformation and managed the company’s three production and logistics centers in Martorell, El Prat de Llobregat and Barcelona. He has also been tasked with leading several strategies related to environmental sustainability and the future of mobility.
