They allegedly imported about 500 vehicles from abroad with false declarations of payment of value added tax outside the national territory in order to be exempt from paying it in Italy, thus realizing VAT evasion of two million euros.
For this reason, six people who were arrested two years ago by the Guardia di Finanza for criminal association aimed at defrauding the state were indicted today by the Treviso judiciary. The vehicles, all high-powered, well-known brands, were purchased by the organization in Germany, France, Spain and Belgium through dealerships in Vedelago and Nervesa della Battaglia, both in the Treviso area. Tax evasion would have allowed importers to place vehicles with double-digit discounts on the market, in the total unawareness of end customers.
