Between cars and motorbikes appointment at the Villa d’Este Competition

Eight classes of vehicles competing for the next edition of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este scheduled from 19 to 21 May in Cernobbio. The categories, among other themes, will refer to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the fastest pre-war cars, as well as cars of Indian maharajas and much more.
Prizes will also be awarded in a special category for concept cars from various manufacturers.
The fashion show of the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este will take place as usual on Saturday. The Best of Show will be crowned by the jury and the vehicle in question will be awarded the BMW Group Trophy on Sunday evening. In addition to the first prize, participants and vehicles competing in the Concours will compete for victory in their respective categories, for the Gold Cup awarded by public vote and for a variety of other awards.
BMW Group Classic brand ambassador and renowned tenor Jonas Kaufmann was given a special task, namely to present the Trophy Il Canto del Motore for the best engine sound, chosen by the jury. The event will also be attended by the BMW Group Classic brand ambassador and racing driver Bruno Spengler.
On Sunday 21 May, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este will then open to the public, who will have the opportunity to watch the parade of all the cars of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
Musical and entertainment events for the whole family are also scheduled for the day.
The BMW Group will also be presenting new vehicles with cutting-edge technology on Sunday, from a very special BMW car and a MiniCooper Se Cabrio to an electric scooter from BMWMotorrad. A new all-electric M Performance model of the BMW 7 Series will also be presented in an exclusive two-tone livery.
BMW M GmbH will then bring a very special guest to Lake Como as the new edition of the legendary 3.0 Csl.
The car will be on display both at Villa d’Este on Saturday and at Villa Erba on Sunday, flanked by its illustrious ancestor, the 1973 BMW 3.0 Csl.
