The Car Zero, the first model that gave birth to the mass production of a pre-war car, the Blower Continuation Series, built by hand using a combination of modern laser-scanned data and original drawings, is preparing to recall the history of its ancestor participating in a series of events in 2023.
Indeed, he will compete at Donington Park, in the UK, from 29 to 30 April; at Le Mans, France, from June 29 to July 3, in two races; and in Spa, Belgium, from 28 to 30 September. Thus, 93 years after its participation in Le Mans, the Car Zero will take the place of the original Blower, and will also race on the Circuit de la Sarthe.
It will also be the brand’s first racing car to return to Le Mans since its Speed 8 victory in 2003. Certified to be eligible for FIA-sanctioned events for historic vehicles, thanks to the Historic Technical Passport (HTP), the Blower Car Zero features safety-related modifications, such as the installation of a beacon for rainy conditions, rear-view mirrors, tow hooks, a fire extinguisher and a battery isolator switch.
In addition to the Car Zero, a further 12 cars from the Blower Continuation Series have been commissioned from Bentley’s one-of-a-kind, one-of-a-kind customization division, the Mulliner, eight are already delivered, while four are still under construction.
