Delivered, after the announcement in 2021 of the electric restomod production project based on Land Rover vehicles, the first Defender, or rather Series IIA, by Everrati based on a 1963 specimen. Alongside the electrification of the Porsche 911 the Oxfordshire specialist thus expands its exclusive and expensive business to include the world of traditional British off-road vehicles. The keys to a flaming Serie IIA model, red with tan leather interior (estimated price 180 thousand euros) were delivered to a wealthy customer who is also a perfect testimonial for this ‘green’ novelty.
We are talking about the Dutchman Shane Happach, CEO of the digital payments and collections company Mollie, who is also the owner of a very silent WaterDream electric boat and who will better ‘pair’ the manager’s eco-movements with the modernized Land Rover and transform into BEV. The off-roader retains the boxy silhouette of the 1960s original, but has a fully restored and galvanized chassis. Among the updates also the power steering and the air conditioning system.
As usual, Everrati ripped out the traditional internal combustion engine and replaced it with a new electric unit that delivers 152 HP, in a configuration approved for Europe and certified for use – as a 100% electric vehicle – on Dutch roads.
