On the new 100% electric Ford Explorer, the technology is also designed with the adventure in mind, be it a trip or everyday use. In fact, the Sync Move 2 infotainment system offers occupants the possibility of always being connected and is equipped with a 15-inch height-adjustable touchscreen, which can scroll up and down smoothly, to adapt to the needs of the driver.
The system also hides a ‘secret’ space, called MyPrivateLocker, for storing valuables. As standard, there is also a compartment for two large smartphones and the MegaConsole, with a wireless charger. The Sync Move offers wireless compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
On the range front, recharging can be quick and easy, both on the road and at home, because the new Explorer can help the driver choose the most convenient pit stops along the way. On the other hand, charging at home can be programmed to use electricity cost-effectively where possible, and to always provide a 100% battery and a pre-heated cabin before each journey.
Available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive variants, the Explorer also offers a host of features to ensure that the driver and passengers are comfortable and relaxed on their journeys. Comfort-oriented standard equipment includes heated front seats and steering wheel, driver’s seat with massage and memory function.
Getting on board the Ford SUV is simple thanks to the standard Keyless system and the Hands-Free opening that allows easy access to the trunk, with a simple movement of the foot under the rear bumper. Also available for the first time on a Ford in Europe is Assisted Lane Change, which allows you to change lanes smoothly and safely by pressing the turn signal lever, as well as Clear Exit Assist, which warns of the presence of cyclists when approaching the busiest urban centres, avoiding any impacts in the event of sudden opening of the doors.
