Chinese Great Wall Motor integrates the Ora and Sar brands

Great Wall Motor (GWM), one of China’s largest automakers, announced the official integration of its two low-energy vehicle brands Ora and Sar and merged their management teams of the Ora and Sar brands, as well as of the Wey and Tank brands.
In particular, the Mecha Dragon model, the first premium electric car under the Sar brand, has now become part of the Ora portfolio and will be displayed on the App of this brand with a dedicated section coming online.
After the structure adjustment, Wen Fei who was previously only CEO of Sar brand assumed the role of CEO for both Sar and Ora. Great Wall Motor expects to strengthen its overall operating efficiency and its global competitiveness in the BEV space through the synergy effect of the dual-brand deal.
Before the restructuring GWM operated through six separately organized brands – namely Haval, Gwm Pickup, Wey, Tank, Ora and Sar – of which the last two are dedicated to electric models.
