For two years he traveled on the motorway without paying the toll: he succeeded by following the car in front of him on the Telepass barrier and passing as if it were a single vehicle. This is the accusation leveled by the Frosinone public prosecutor’s office against an elderly guest in a rest home in Fiuggi, assuming the crime of ‘fraudulent insolvency’ is against him.
In the period between 2020 and 2022 it accumulated around four thousand euros in unpaid tolls. The journeys are almost always made in the evening or at night, taking the A1 from the toll booths of Anagni or Ferentino with exits in Rome, Caserta or Naples. And return.
The investigators traced the elderly man through the footage of the cameras that record access to the Telepass gates and the traffic on the highway. He was granted the possibility of extinguishing the crime: by paying all together the four thousand euros of accumulated tolls.
