Pending the European decisions on the sale of petrol and diesel cars starting from 2035, 7.5 million Italians declare themselves ready for electric. Finally, almost 4 million would choose long-term rental.
The Facile.it study then wanted to investigate what our compatriots would do if they had to buy a new vehicle after 2035, when it may no longer be possible to choose diesel or petrol engines. More than 1 in 3, i.e. almost 15 million Italians, would buy an electric car, a value that rises to 46.8% among 18-24 year olds, those who, for reasons of age, are more likely to purchase an half after 2035.
More than 4 million (9.7%), on the other hand, are those who will only use long-term rental cars, while 7% would opt for public transport. Many, about 13.5 million, Italians who do not yet have clear ideas on how they will behave in the event of a purchase after 2035.
