Scooters parked badly in Padua, app sharing will give a ‘fine’

From April 1, anyone who incorrectly parks the electric scooters of the “Dott” fleet in Padua will receive a fine and, in the event of a repeat offense, will suffer the suspension of the account. The project, already active in Rome and Milan, was launched by the sharing company and the Consumerismo No Profit association.

If users of the service park outside the authorized areas, or incorrectly in violation of the Highway Code, they will receive an “alert” on their smartphone through the Dott app, together with an email indicating the time and place of the incorrect parking. and a summary of the rules to follow. In case of recurrence of the incorrect behavior, the second time they will receive a penalty of 5 euros from the operator, with a guide via email to parking and respecting the rules. In the event of a third violation, their account will be suspended and for its reactivation they will be invited to attend a compulsory and free driving course organized by Dr.

The company, which has a fleet of 500 electric scooters in Padua, will soon also land in Noventa Padovana. There are around 50,000 registered users in the Euganean capital, 67% of whom are residents. Young people under 36 are the major users (74%); the average duration of the journeys is 10 minutes, the average kilometers traveled by users are 2.
