Iveco has chosen Apollo Tires’ EnduTrax tires as original equipment (OE) for the S-Way, X-Way, T-Way range of trucks. This is Apollo Tires’ first OE deal in the truck and bus sector, with supply starting in March, following rigorous testing by Iveco throughout 2022. EnduTrax tires have been designed to be used on difficult terrain, feature a compound that provides 11% more resistance to cuts and chipping than a standard Apollo all-wheel tyre, as well as featuring 14% more extra cushioning between the tread and the belt, which ensures greater resistance to cutting and drilling by stones. In addition, the rubber profile has been improved by 5% to optimize tread stiffness for increased mileage and, thanks to an optimized and strong ply casing, retreadability has been improved. Produced at the Apollo Tires plant in Gyöngyöshalász, Hungary, the EnduTrax tires will be supplied to Iveco in five sizes to be mounted on 22.5-inch wheels.
Specifically, these are 13R22.5 EnduTrax MA, 13R22.5 EnduTrax MD, 315/80R22.5 EnduTrax MA, 315/80R22.5 EnduTrax MD, and 385/65R22.5 EnduTrax MA HD tires.
