Andreas Wendt, who had been a member of the board of management of BMW AG until December 2021 with responsibility for procurement and supplier network, is back on the scene thanks to his appointment as a new member of the supervisory board of Ingenics AG.
The Ulm-based company in Germany employs 800 people at 20 locations worldwide and is active in international management consulting for the transformation and digitization of business models, products and processes.
Wendt is the fourth member of the supervisory board, the chairman of the board is the former Daimler top manager Eberhard Haller.
Since 2002 Wendt – who is a mechanical engineer with a doctorate – has held central management positions at the Bavarian automaker, including managing the engine plant in Steyr, Austria, and the BMW plants in Dingolfing and Regensburg.
