If the countdown for the launch of the new Volkswagen ID.7 has begun and the world premiere of the new all-electric vehicle is set for Monday 17 April, Volkswagen has communicated the close deadline for the last tests.

Volkswagen plans to increase the share of its electric models to 80% in Europe by 2030 and the new ID.7 will be an important new step in this path, as it is expected to be launched in Europe by the end of 2023.

The camouflaged version of the vehicle is still undergoing final tests in Alicante, Spain. The new all-electric model designed for long-distance driving is able to fully demonstrate its strengths on the winding and mountainous roads of the region. “With the ID.7 – explained Kai Grünitz, member of the board of management and responsible for model development – we have further exploited the potential of the Meb platform. We have also used a new, more powerful and more efficient electric motor. The large range makes the ID.7 is the perfect vehicle for long-distance travel.”
