12 million Italians on the highway for the April 25 bridge

Over 12 million Italians travel along the network managed by Autostrade per l’Italia. These are the estimates provided by the Company for the April 25 bridge.
The main movements are expected to leave the large cities towards the south starting from the early afternoon of today, in particular on the A1 Milan-Naples, on the A14 Bologna-Taranto and from the large centers in the north towards the Ligurian coast. Furthermore, intense traffic on the morning of Saturday 22 April. The returns are scheduled for Sunday 23 and Tuesday 25 April. On the occasion of the May 1 long weekend, sustained flows starting from the early afternoon of Friday 28 April and in the morning of Saturday 29 April. Sunday 30 April and Monday 1 May – from early afternoon until evening – the largest flows to the big cities are expected.
To facilitate travel, Aspi has developed a road management plan which provides for, starting this morning, the removal of the 150 modernization sites along the main motorway sections – such as, for example, those present on the entire Ligurian and along the Adriatic coast – so that all lanes are available to traffic. Work will be suspended until the evening of 2 May: only the immovable construction sites will remain operational, for which no particular disturbances to traffic are expected. A ban on the circulation of vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tons has also been prepared from 9 to 22 on Sunday 23 April, Tuesday 25 April, Sunday 30 April and Monday 1 May.
