Derived from the Tavascan showcar, unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Cupra Tavascan is a 100% electric SUV coupé that represents a turning point in the brand’s electrification journey, as it embodies the brand’s electrified vision.
The car in question, designed and developed in Barcelona, will be produced in the Volkswagen Group-owned plant in Anhui, China, and will be available on the market from 2024, with the declared goal of selling over 70,000 units a year.
Aesthetically, the Tavascan has a muscular design in which the front Matrix LED headlights stand out, with a three-triangular light signature, while the passenger compartment is distinguished by the characteristic backbone and slim air intakes.
The base is the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform and, for dynamics, it can count on Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC Sport), with sports suspension and progressive steering, as well as high-performance tires mounted on 21-inch alloy wheels.
Two variants of power will be available: 286 HP and 340 HP, with the most powerful version, powered by 2 electric motors, with four-wheel drive.
Thanks to the 77 kWh battery pack, the maximum range is around 550 km.
