Suzuki Across plug-in, travel and city hybrid

Suzuki has expanded its electrified offer with Across plug-in, which made its debut at the top of the Hamamatsu range about 2 years ago. With the latest update, the SUV has benefited from further improvements, to be even more competitive on the market.
The aesthetics have not changed and the design stands out for its important proportions, with a length of over 4.60 metres, a width of 1.86 meters and a height of 1.69 metres. The front is characterized by thin and elongated light clusters, while the side features square-cut wheel arches. The rear view boasts an element combining the headlights and a boot spoiler. The passenger compartment, on the other hand, makes use of a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, with renewed and three-dimensional graphics, with 3 different display layouts that change according to the selected hybrid system mode, and present 4 different designs associated with the Driving Mode entries. The infotainment system also changes, which can now count on a 10.5-inch screen, complete with a MirrorLink system, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay even wirelessly. There is also a flat induction charging system for the phone, and the space is large both in front and behind.
The boot is also decidedly roomy, with a useful volume of 490 liters with all the seats in use, which can reach up to 1,604 liters when the rear sofa is folded down.
The new positioning of the microphone completes the picture of the internal innovations, through which it improves the audio quality in emergency calls.

In its dynamic action, as ANSA Motori was able to ascertain during a long test, Across offers a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h covered in 6 seconds flat, thanks to the 306 HP plug-in hybrid power unit. Despite a weight of around 2,000 kg, it quickly responds to the driver’s commands, showing off a certain agility in mixed terrain. Ride comfort is high, both in terms of noise and in the ability of the set-up to absorb bumps, while road holding boasts solid footing on long motorway bends.
In addition to the 2.5 four-cylinder internal combustion engine, the Suzuki SUV uses two electric motors, located respectively at the front and at the rear, to offer the safety of four-wheel drive, and transfer up to 80% of the torque to the rear wheels. Furthermore, with the 18.1 kWh battery, Across is able to cover almost 100 km in electric mode in the urban cycle and 75 km in the mixed cycle and thanks to the new 7 kW on-board charger, with Mennekes type 2 cable, it reduces 50% recharge times, since less than three hours are sufficient to fill up with energy from the alternating current columns.
In view of the new contents introduced, the list price of the new Across Plug-in has not changed, so it remains fixed at 55,400 euros (turnkey price, IPT and ELT excluded), including one of the 6 metallic colors available, and includes a 3-year or 100,000km warranty, with roadside assistance and free checks included. Added to this is the possibility of extending the warranty on the hybrid sector free of charge up to 10 years or 250,000 km.
Furthermore, thanks to the low CO2 emissions of 22 g/km, the new Across Plug-in can take advantage of an eco-bonus of 2,000 euros, which can go up to 4,000 euros with a Euro 4 or lower scrapped car.
