The stretch of the A1 between the toll booths of Valdarno and Arezzo in the direction of Rome was closed during the night between 4 and 5 May. This was announced by Aspi, explaining that the closure is necessary “to allow preparatory work for the consolidation of the escarpment”. The traffic stop will start from 10pm on Thursday 4 May to 6am on Friday 5 May. As an alternative, Aspi advises, after the obligatory exit at the Valdarno station, to take the ordinary road system and return to the A1 at the Arezzo station.
Still on the A1 Milan-Naples, to allow installation work on new jersey, the section between Calenzano and Barberino, towards Bologna, will be closed on the two nights of Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 May, from 10pm to 60am. Alternatively, after the obligatory exit at Calenzano station, Aspi advises “to take the Sp8 Barberinese where, for the occasion, suitable yellow signs will be set up indicating ‘Bologna’ and return to the A1 at the Barberino station”.
