Electric Days 2023 kicks off over the weekend

From Friday 5 to Sunday 7 May, the Eur lake will be transformed into an E-Village. In fact, everything is ready for the start of Electric Days 2023, the three days dedicated to the dissemination of electrified mobility scheduled in Rome next weekend, including talks with sector experts and more, test drives, exhibitions, previews, workshops and educational activities for families.
The first Italian dissemination event dedicated to the energy transition of mobility, promoted by Motor1.com and InsideEVs.it, will take place in the setting of the Eur Laghetto Park, with free admission in Piazza Umberto Elia Terracini, Metro B – Palasport.
The program will open on Friday 5 under the banner of Electric Talks in the morning (at the Chalet del Lago and in live streaming), which will see insiders, experts, intellectuals and institutions discuss the future of the car. Among the guests, also the author and television presenter Valerio Lundini and the philosopher, essayist and psychoanalyst Umberto Galimberti, as well as Sigrid de Vries, general manager of Acea, the association of European manufacturers.
In the afternoon, at 2.15 pm, it will be the turn of the ribbon cutting for the #ItaliaElettrica exhibition featuring five of the most significant projects in the ‘Made in Italy’ battery-powered car scene. On display, totally electric two and four-wheeled vehicles that are very different from each other such as the Totem GT Electric, Microlino, Maserati GranTurismo Folgore, Vespa Retrokit and Merlo e-worker.
Over the weekend (from 10 to 18 on Saturday and Sunday) words will give way to the exhibition of the different mobility solutions for the ecological transition in the Electric Village. The car, motorcycle, bicycle and micro-mobility brands will be at the center of an exhibition itinerary designed to explain the different degrees of electrification and their impact in terms of sustainability.
There will be several national previews with Byd Atto 3, Microlino, Ways U6, Maxus Mifa9, as well as the virtual preview of the new Ford Explorer. Among the protagonists of the Electric Days there will also be Pininfarina, which on 5 May (9.30 am) will present the world preview of the e-Motion 300, the first of a line-up of e-bikes that will be launched in 2023 and 2024 .
Also over the weekend, over 30 hybrid and electric vehicles will be available to the public for a test on an urban circuit. During the test (subject to registration) each driver and motorcyclist will be assisted by an instructor who will explain the vehicle’s technological features in detail as well as provide suggestions for making the driving style more efficient. In the e-village it will also be possible to try e-bikes and other soft mobility solutions.
Scientific dissemination will also be the protagonist in the Open Stage space, where social influencers, creators, disseminators and special guests will explore the theme of sustainability and electric mobility with demonstrations, experiments and entertainment activities.
