Scott Runner new CEO of Cariad for the United States

Scott Runner is Cariad’s new US CEO, an appointment that marks another leap forward for Cariad’s US strategy and follows the establishment of its new US technology hub in January 2023.
With presence in two major technology ecosystems, Silicon Valley and the greater Seattle area, Cariad is actively developing automotive technology solutions in the fields of hardware design, automotive cloud, and connected infotainment.
Runner is a technical executive with more than 30 years of experience in software, hardware and semiconductors. Lui began his career in 1985 at Fujitsu with subsequent positions at Synopsys, Conexant and a start-up consultancy for Arm Ltd.
In 2003, Runner joined Qualcomm to build the teams and methods related to the US and India businesses that flowed into the first and subsequent integrated SoC for smartphones.
Nine years later, he helped found the team that delivered the first two generations of Qualcomm’s automotive-grade infotainment and telematics products.
Subsequently, Runner joined what became Capgemini.
Runner – who holds degrees in computer science and management engineering – became its vice president and global practice leader, embedded software, EE & semiconductors for autonomous, connected, and electric vehicles.
