Twelve million euros in the form of incentives dedicated to the purchase of more ecological vehicles. The allocation was decided by the council of the Lombardy Region which today approved the resolution which determines the contributions to renew the vehicle fleet.
An economic support, for those who replace their vehicle or buy a zero-emission car (pure electric or hydrogen) ranging between 1,000 and 4,000 euros.
Investments are eligible for the purchase of newly registered or already registered cars after 1 January 2022 in the name of a vehicle manufacturer or an M1 category seller/dealer capable of guaranteeing very low or zero emissions of pollutants.
“The action of the Lombardy Region, aimed at combining environmental sustainability with economic incentives that allow citizens to have access to the purchase of modern and technologically advanced vehicles, remains at the center of our government action” explains the president of the Lombardy region Attilio Fontana .
“In this way – he adds – we meet the needs of many citizens, allowing them to be able to replace old and very old generation cars”.
“A contribution awaited by many families – continues the councilor for the Environment Giorgio Maione – and which supports them in an economically challenging moment such as that of buying a car”.
Regional support varies according to the ability of the purchased vehicle to reduce polluting emissions. “The principle is simple – concludes Maione – the more Lombards are committed to cutting emissions, the more the Lombardy Region is by their side”.
