New Peugeot 2008: with the facelift it will also be hybrid

Launched at the end of 2019, the Peugeot 2008 earns its mid-career facelift to remain a leader in the compact SUV segment.
Almost 700,000 units have been produced since its debut, which have guaranteed the Peugeot 2008 a permanent presence on the sales podium of B-segment SUVs in Europe, after occupying first place in 2021. An important slice of the success of this model comes from the e -2008, with over 75,000 units produced. It represented 17.4% of sales of the 2008 range in 2022, placing itself on the podium of European sales of electric SUVs in the B segment.

As often happens with mid-career updates, the new Peugeot 2008 gains a new face that is totally in line with the new corporate family-feeling. The front features the new luminous signature consisting of three vertical luminous claws integrated into the glossy black inserts of the bumper, in the GT versions extended for the first time to the illumination of the full LED headlights. On the back, however, the light points are made up of three double horizontal slats superimposed. Among the novelties, also the new Peugeot badge in the center of the front grille and the model logo in lettering on the tailgate.
The new 2008 is available in six body colors: Selenium Grey, Artense Grey, Okenite White, Black Pearl Black, Elisir Red and Vertigo Blue. The 16, 17 and 18 inch rims are also new. Inside, the digital instrument panel makes its debut on the Allure and GT versions, on the latter in 3D, while all trim levels are now equipped as standard with a 10-inch central touchscreen replacing the previous 7″. The Wireless charging, an option on the 2008 Allure, has been boosted to 15 watts, in addition to the now high-resolution 360-degree camera system.
The engine range has also evolved. The electric E-2008 is equipped with the new engine already adopted by E-208 and E-308. Maximum power increases by 15%, going from 136 HP / 100 kW to 156 HP / 115 kW, while the battery goes from 50 kWh to 54 kWh, for a range that rises to 406 km compared to the previous 370. beginning of 2024, New 2008 will receive the new 48V Hybrid engine, composed of a new generation 136 HP PureTech petrol engine, mated to a new e-DCS6 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission incorporating an electric motor.
