The tender of the Lombardy Region for 12 million euros is open for the purchase of vehicles with low environmental impact or zero emissions (pure electricity or hydrogen). The contribution is between 1,000 and 4,000 euros depending on the actual reduction of pollutants.
“We encourage the replacement of polluting vehicles with zero or very low emission cars – explains the regional councilor for the Environment Giorgio Maione – providing for the elimination of cars powered exclusively by petrol of emission class up to Euro 2 included or diesel up to Euro 5 included “.
With this measure, continues Maione, “we have also involved car sellers who will guarantee discounts on purchases. It is an intervention aimed not only at modernizing the car fleet” given that “it has benefits for air quality, for reduction of emissions and consequently for the quality of life”.
Investments are eligible for the purchase of newly registered or already registered cars after 1 January 2022 in the name of a vehicle manufacturer or an M1 category seller/dealer capable of guaranteeing very low or zero emissions of pollutants.
The assignment of the contribution takes place with an evaluation procedure ‘at the counter’, according to the chronological order of the electronic booking of the contribution. The call is open until 12 noon on 31/10/2023.
