Range Rover Velar aims for essential modern luxury

A new version for Range Rover Velar that points even more towards the concept of modern luxury.

The brand’s newcomer focuses on the latest technology, refinement and a new design in the name of the essential.

“Our idea of modern luxury – commented Marco Santucci, president and managing director of Jaguar Land Rover Italia – passes through the design of Velar, which is now evolving further. It is no coincidence that we have decided to present it with an installation that speaks of essentiality and freedom from the unthinkable”.

Externally, the new Velar is characterized by a grille that combines with the characteristic suspended roof, the uninterrupted beltline and the flush door handles that define the family of luxury SUVs. The new headlights are super-slim Pixel Led 5 and offer a new aesthetic, as well as optimal visibility. The exterior is enhanced by a new low rear bumper and dark accents.

Range Rover’s understated design philosophy continues into the interior, where the center console integrates a new 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen, allowing immediate and intuitive control of all key vehicle functions. At the same time, the handcrafted cabin features redesigned seats, new colors and new materials, including an alternative leather option.

“The change in Velar is especially noticeable inside – Santucci said again – where refinement takes a leap forward even compared to Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The materials used for the interiors are sustainable and the technology is at the service of the customer, as in the case of soundproofing and air purification”. The complete suite of technologies dedicated to passenger comfort and well-being is managed by the new touchscreen. To offer an interior cabin that represents an oasis of tranquility, free from intrusions and road noise, the New Range Rover Velar is equipped with the Active Road Noise Cancellation system. The Cabin Air Purification Plus device is also available as an option, which improves the air quality in the cabin. Software Over The Air ensures that the new Range Rover Velar can always receive the latest software updates at the customer’s discretion.

There are many solutions for the engine, including the P400e plug-in, today with a range increased by 21%, for a range of up to 64 km in all-electric mode.

Also available is a range of Ingenium diesel engines, all featuring Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology which increases efficiency and performance.
