Seventy cars registered in two, but with citizenship income

They had already received 35,000 euros for the basic income, but they had 70 cars registered and available, which were also used for theft and drug dealing in Campania and Puglia. The Guardia di Finanza of Chieti has reported two people residing in Lanciano, originally from Campania, for the crimes of forgery in a public document and aggravated fraud against the State for undue receipt of the citizen’s income. The Yellow Flames of Lanciano operated, directed by Captain Domenico Siravo who, at the end of complex investigations, ascertained the existence of a real entrepreneurial activity in the sector of the car trade, totally abusive. Many of the vehicles were found to be available to multiple offenders. During a search, 40 registration certificates were also found. The military proceeded to notify the PRA and the MCTC of the registry block, issued by the Public Prosecutor of Lanciano, aimed at the official cancellation of the 70 vehicles registered to the nominee and the limitation of any future purchase and sale operations by the subject .

If the cars are identified following a check against the person who has them available, they will be seized and removed from the Public Vehicle Register. During the investigation it was also ascertained that both the total evader and the nominee holder of the cars unduly received the citizen’s income causing damage to the Treasury quantified in over 35 thousand euros. Illicit also reported to the INPS for the revocation of the benefit and the recovery of the sums not due.

For the Provincial Commander, Colonel Michele Iadarola: “Now there will be administrative checks aimed at the recovery of unpaid sums by way of stamp duty, Provincial Transcription Tax and revenue stamps, as well as the recovery of taxable material subtracted from taxation following the activity illegally exercised.Tax evasion constitutes a serious obstacle to economic development because it distorts competition and the allocation of resources, undermines the relationship of trust between citizens and the State and penalizes fairness, removing room for intervention in favor of the social groups weaker”.
