Volkswagen heat engines, their future entrusted to Skoda

While Volkswagen expands its ID series and all-electric models, Skoda has secured a huge order from the parent company to develop and produce petrol engines. The Czech company already had the task of manufacturing the 1.0 MPI atmospheric engines used in some compact models of the Volkswagen Group, and now the other engines of the TSI variants will be added to this line.

Specifically, Skoda will have the task of ensuring a future for the EA 211 engine family – which went into production in 2012 – which includes the aforementioned 1.0 MPI and which reaches 1.6 liters and powers ranging from 65 to 157 HP. In particular, the House of Mladá Boleslav will have to develop the MPI engines and especially those of the TSI series for Euro7 standards (not yet fully understood) and for even longer for non-European markets. In fact, there’s a good chance that after 2035 the story didn’t end in various markets outside of our own.
