Aspi, all 200 km of the network in Emilia Romagna reopened

In the early hours of the morning, all the lanes of the 200 kilometers of the network managed by Autostrade per l’Italia in Emilia Romagna, affected by the floods caused by the bad weather emergency, returned to being fully passable. This was announced by the company in a note in which it reports that “a motorcade reopened to traffic at dawn today also the three lanes of the A14 between Faenza and Forlì, thanks to the impressive activity plan carried out continuously by the teams of Highways for Italy”.

Since the first weather alert, the Company – explains the note from Aspi – has organized a task force ready to intervene with over 600 men in support of the Bologna garrison coming from the Section Directorates of Bologna, Milan, Florence and Pescara of Aspi, of the subsidiary It expands, as well as contractors and around 160 vehicles employed in restoration activities carried out at night (including 120 trucks, 5 excavators, 3 bituminous conglomerate plants available 24 hours a day, 2 tankers and 2 crane trucks). The work plan – continues the note – provided for the mapping of water interference and the inspection activities on the infrastructure in an initial phase of reconnaissance. Then, with the teams of Amplia, the group’s construction company, the works for the redevelopment of around 3,000 meters of New Jersey traffic divider and of 10 km of lateral barrier, the restoration of 50,000 m2 of flooring, 30km of fences, the sound-absorbing barriers located at km 72 south of the A14, in addition to the Forlì station systems. Activities to complete the plan are planned for the next few days which will be carried out without generating impacts on the road system. The wave of bad weather – explains Aspi – affected a total of 200 kilometers of the network managed by Autostrade per l’Italia with 11 rivers flooded (Foglia, Gaiana, Bevano, Savio, Senio, Lamone, Ronco, Sillaro, Santerno, Montone, Savena ) which interfered with the A14, causing flooding and extensive damage. Despite this, the passage of emergency vehicles was guaranteed.

The Aspi balance also indicates the 70 mechanical rescues carried out for the recovery of light/heavy vehicles in the area between Imola and Cesena on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18.
