DS Esprit De Voyage, collection enhances the quality of road cyclists

When it made its appearance way back in 1955, the ‘deesse’ had a huge impact not only on the competition of the time, but also on the travel habits of those who passed from traditional (and somewhat uncomfortable) models to this living room on wheels.

With its hydraulic suspensions, with the extreme aerodynamics of the bodywork, with the functional spaciousness of the passenger compartment and with the soft ’embrace’ of the seats, DS thus became the symbol of a renewed way of tackling more travel, true progenitor of generations of ‘grandes routieres’ which – since 2014 – have been part of the DS premium brand.
It is no coincidence that the documentary ‘The Art of Travel – A French reinterpretation’ presented by DS Automobiles and broadcast from 11 May on Prime Video for three months is concentrated on the art of travel. A work by freelance journalist Seamus Kearney, who has spent the last thirty years traveling the world, and who now celebrates the French art de vivre in a premium journey aboard DS 7.
It is therefore more than understandable that DS has launched the Esprit De Voyage project intended to emphasize – both in its cars and in the field of communication – all the areas of expression of the brand, from refinement to technology, up to exclusive savoir-faire French. This without forgetting the themes connected to travel and the sensation of freedom that DS cars have always offered to their public.
Characterized by common and personalized contents and values (as occurs in the world of fashion with a ‘capsule’), the DS Esprit De Voyage ‘give’ the public new emotions and new qualities of ‘grandes routieres’ by making them available to the entire range of customers – from DS3 up to the flagship DS9 – exclusive contents, which differentiate the cars from other traditional trims. Initially introduced on the DS4 and DS7 models and also present on the DS9, the collection will be available throughout 2023 in markets where the brand is present and will soon extend to the DS3 as well.
“DS Automobiles has always stood out for its attention to detail, refinement and technology – said Alessandra Mariani, DS Italia marketing director today during the presentation at The Box in Origgio – pillars that give life to a line up of distinctive products”.
“The excellence of the brand now finds its maximum expression in the Esprit De Voyage collection, which is a top setting which, through materials and stylistic details, best expresses the art of travel according to DS, i.e. the reinterpretation of travel in a more aware and sustainable”.
“This new collection identifies with the intention of offering our customers a premium holistic experience through increasingly equipped versions and, at the same time – concluded Mariani – it underlines our commitment to a future marked by electrification”. For DS4 Esprit De Voyage prices start at 43,000 euros, for DS7 from 49,750 and for DS9 from 76,250. In the DS4, the Esprit De Voyage collection introduces exclusive details such as the 19-inch Cannes wheels, diamond-polished with matt lacquer. Also present is the electric seats package with massaging and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, electric tailgate, aluminum pedals and soundproofed side windows.
