FIAT has revived the legendary Topolino model

The Italian company FIAT has presented an urban electric car with an original design in retro style. The novelty has inherited the name of one of the company’s iconic models.

This was reported by the press service of the manufacturer. The new FIAT Topolino is a compact electric car based on the previously presented Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks-e. The Italian version differs from its counterparts in a modified design, designed to recall the original Topolino model, produced by FIAT from 1936 to 1955 and sold over 520,000 copies worldwide.

Of the characteristic features of the novelty – a soft folding roof and ropes instead of doors. Also, the model received a characteristic front panel design with round headlights, retro-style rims and original interior trim.

The new Fiat Topolino is expected to have an 8-horsepower electric motor powered by a 5.5 kWh battery. With it, the car will be able to reach speeds of 45 km / h, and the cruising range will be about 70 km. Recall that in a number of European countries, such a vehicle can be driven without a driver’s license at the age of 14/16 years.

The presentation of Fiat Topolino will take place in the near future. Prices and equipment will be known after the official premiere of the electric car.
