With the ‘For All’ prototype, Citroën Ami is for everyone

After the Citroën Ami Cargo designed for the transport and delivery of goods and the My Ami Buggy, it is now time for the Ami For All project. The prototype was born in 2022 from an idea of a Stellantis employee and then developed by Citroën and Pimas, a French company specializing in the preparation of cars for users with limited mobility.
The prototype, which could also have an official production in the future, adopts various solutions to facilitate access to the passenger compartment for people with disabilities and to stow a wheelchair. In particular, the doors have an increased opening angle and there is a retractable platform equipped with a belt, which facilitates access to the car.
The wheelchair can be folded up and stowed in the passenger seat, or it can be stowed externally and secured to an aluminum luggage rack at the rear. Inside, a manual lever allows you to operate the accelerator and brake, while a knob appears on the steering wheel which facilitates the rotation of the crown with just one hand.
As for the mechanics, the ‘Ami For All’ remains identical to the Citroën Ami, with an 8 HP electric motor and 5.5 kWh battery, which allow a distance of about 70 km with one charge and a maximum speed of 45 km/h.
