Road safety, D6 Drive Responsibly in Sardinia with ACI

In the magical scenery of Gallura, D6 Drive Responsibly has recently held a responsible and sustainable driving course dedicated to electric vehicles.

The initiative, organized together with the Automobile Club Sassari on behalf of ACI Sport, was held as part of the eco-sustainability initiatives linked to the 20th Rally Italia Sardegna, the Italian stage of the World Rally Championship.

In a period of full energy transition, it is essential to know how to use vehicles with engines other than traditional ones in the safest and most correct way. The objective of the course specifically concerned the conscious use of the electric vehicle and the maximization of its autonomy along road routes: results obtained thanks to the application of the exclusive method developed by Paolo Ciuffi, founder and CEO of D6 Drive Responsibly.

The “Ciuffi Method” includes, within the day, two theoretical parts interspersed with as many practical tests, to better fix the notions learned. Practical tests that are carried out on common urban and extra-urban roads and motorways, where the peculiarities, the dangers, the attentions are the daily ones. In addition to the safety aspect, there is also the environmental and economic one: during the course, in fact, you will learn the techniques to reduce consumption (in this case of electricity supplied by the battery, but also applies to the fuel of internal combustion engines ) and reduce the carbon footprint on the planet. Advanced vehicle monitoring instruments supplied by Webfleet, D6 Drive Responsibly’s partner in this operation, were installed on board the cars used to demonstrate with certified data the environmental improvement generated by the implementation of the Ciuffi Method.

The data collected, which will be communicated shortly, will concern both the organizations and companies required to prepare the sustainability report in compliance with ESG criteria and the individual road user who wants to contribute to the well-being of all. Among the participants in the course also Angelo Raffaele Pelillo: President of the Aci Sport Commission for Alternative Energies and Experimental Activities, Vice President of the FIA Electric and New Energy Championship Commission but here above all in the guise of a provident road user. The Secretary General of ACI, Gerardo Capozza, did not fail to appreciate the initiative.
