People’s deputies returned to themselves a 100% salary bonus for “labor intensity”.
The people’s deputies adopted the corresponding decision at a regular meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, voting for amendments to the law “On the status of a people’s deputy of Ukraine.”
Cast their votes in favor 305 deputies and now the monthly salary of a Ukrainian deputy will consist of an official salary in the amount of 10 living wages.
Recall that one subsistence minimum in Ukraine is 2393 hryvnia, that is, the salary of the people’s deputy will be 24 810 hryvnia, and if he receives a bonus for the intensity of work – 49 620 UAH, not counting other allowances.
The bill also provides for the following monetary incentives:
- a bonus in accordance with their personal contribution to the overall results of work;
- financial assistance for rehabilitation when granting annual leave in an amount not exceeding the average monthly salary of an employee.
In addition, the salaries of the first deputies, deputy heads of the committee, secretaries of the committee, deputy chairmen of parliamentary factions, chairmen of subcommittees were revised, they were set 3% higher than the salary of a committee member. The head of the committee should receive 5% more.
For the deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, a salary was set at 10% higher than the official salary of a people’s deputy.
Salaries of Ukrainians
According to a survey by research firm Gradus, 28.6% of Ukrainians consider a fair salary for themselves the amount from 20 to 30 thousand hryvnia.
24.1% respondents called a fair salary from 15 to 20 thousand UAH. Only 9% consider more than 50 thousand hryvnias to be a suitable reward, and 5.6% found it difficult to answer this question.
Interestingly, men consider a higher salary to be fair, while women more often named smaller amounts.
Also, the amount of the desired reward directly depends on the locality, the larger the city, the higher the salary.
