(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 23 FEB – The “Cappadocia Seaways” RoRo is part of the vast DFDS network, a shipping and logistics company based in Copenhagen and a long experience in connecting European countries with Turkey across the Mediterranean. The ferry operates with the “Paqize” and the “Olympos Seaways” on a regular scheduled service between Mersin and the port of Trieste.
DFDS will call at the HHLA PLT Italy terminal three times a week to unload and load trucks, trailers, containers and swap bodies. The ferries on this service have a range ranging from 2,500 to 3,735 linear meters.
The terminal also welcomed the first Ekol train on February 22, inaugurating a regular intermodal service connecting Trieste to Karlsruhe, Germany, with 6 weekly departures. The train is equipped with 16 wagons with 32 slots for trailers and containers equal to 64 standard units (TEU). (HANDLE).
