Vespa and Lego celebrate Made in Italy

Plastic, the OECD alarm: only 9% of the world is recycled (ANSA)

(ANSA) – MILAN, 24 FEB – The Lego group and Vespa celebrate the excellence of Made in Italy with the new Lego Vespa 125 set: a style icon in brick format. The model, which will be available from March 1, is packed with refined details, such as the bouquet of flowers in the basket on the back, the spare wheel, the removable engine hood, the handlebar with steering wheel and the kickstand.

“We brought together two dreams, Lego and Vespa, united by the infinite possibilities of expression – comments Marco Lambri, Head of Piaggio Group Design Center – Two extraordinary brands capable of crossing different eras, always knowing how to reinvent themselves”.

In an event in Pontedera Guido Meda and Vera Spadini accompanied the spectators connected to the live streaming, on a walk through the stages that marked the history of the iconic Vespa and the Legoe Group, raised the veil on a 1: 1 scale model of the Vespa 125, made entirely of bricks and very faithful to the miniature vehicle: 110,000 pieces in 11 different colors, weighing 93.3 kg and made in 320 hours of work by a team of 4 expert builders.
