Businesses: executives grow but only thanks to women, they are 19%

In 2020, the year of the pandemic emergency and the general economic and social crisis, company managers grow only thanks to the increase in the presence of women in management roles. This is what emerges from the Manageritalia report on private executives published as every year on the occasion of Women’s Day. If in 2019 there were 94,332 male executives and 21,116 women, in 2020 the total number of executives grew (+ 0.59%) thanks precisely and exclusively to the growth of women (+ 4.9% to 22,147); while men drop (-0, 37%). Data that – highlights the report – confirm the run-up in place for some years by women managers, which the pandemic has not stopped and which today are 19% of the total. In 2021, pending the data of all private executives provided in June by INPS, the data on the tertiary sector executives, contractually represented by ManagerItalia, show further growth (6.2%), which for women is even higher. double figures (+ 11%, compared to + 6% of men): today there are almost 21% of women executives in the service sector.
