(ANSA) – ROME, FEBRUARY 28 – In the fourth quarter of 2021 the seasonally adjusted index of the turnover of services grows by 2.1% compared to the previous quarter and the general raw index records an increase, in tendential terms, of 13.6% , according to Istat data. On average in 2021 there is a 14.1% growth, which brings the index to a slightly higher level than the pre-pandemic one (+ 0.5% compared to 2019). “However – reads the note – there is a marked differentiation between the sectors. There are levels higher than those before the crisis only for the wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles) and for information and communication services, while they are still lower than those before the crisis. at the turnover level of 2019, those of the activities of accommodation and catering services, travel agencies and business support services, transport and storage and professional, scientific and technical activities “.
In the fourth quarter of 2021, a decrease in turnover emerges only for the accommodation and catering services activities (-1% compared to the previous quarter). Increases were recorded for travel agencies and business support services (+ 4.7%), for information and communication services (+ 3.4%), for the wholesale trade, trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+ 2.3%), for transport and storage (+ 1.4%) and for professional, scientific and technical activities (+ 0.8%). On the other hand, the trend changes are positive in all sectors, starting with accommodation and catering services, with growth of 81.3% from the fourth quarter of 2020. (ANSA).
