Stock market: Milan weighs (-1.9%), Nexi down, Leonardo and Eni good

(ANSA) – MILAN, 01 MAR – Piazza Affari is confirmed as heavy after 4 hours of trading, with the Ftse Mib index down by 1.93% to 24,925 points. The entire basket of blue chips is almost completely in red, with the exception of Leonardo (+ 2.9%), with the sending of weapons and financing to buy them from Ukraine, Eni (+ 1.07%), with crude oil on the maximums (Wti + 2.8% to 98.5 dollars a barrel, Brent + 3.23% to 101.13 dollars a barrel), Terna (+ 0.35%) and Ferrari (+ 0.1%).

Under pressure Moncler (-4.95%) and Nexi (-4.16%), the fintech Nexi (-4.2%), while negotiations are underway to block Russian banks from the Swift international payment system. In the banking sector, on the other hand, Unicredit’s attempt to rebound fails (-1.23%), penalized on the eve of its exposure in Russia. Intesa (-3.58%), Bper (-3.23%) and Banco Bpm (-2.37%) are heavier, while the differential between Italian BTPs and German Bunds goes back to 153.9 points, but with the yield year down by 2.32 basis points to 1.526%, more than in Great Britain (-1.48 points), Germany (-1.63 points) and France (-1.78 points).

Under pressure Diasorin (-3.25%), Stm (-2.96%) and Stellantis (-2.39%), whose CEO Carlos Tavares today presents the Strategic plan and speaks of “marginal and insignificant effects” for the Group from sanctions to Russia.
