After the attack of the Russian army on peaceful Ukrainian cities, the Russian Federation gradually began to turn into a rogue state. More and more global companies, including automobile ones, refuse to cooperate with it.

“Today” has collected all the news about which automakers have decided to break off all relations with the aggressor.

The largest BMW company announced the termination of the production of its cars at the facilities of the Russian plant in Kaliningrad, and also refused to supply its cars to the Russian Federation.

They also refused to export their cars to the aggressor country:

  • Ford;
  • Skoda;
  • Volkswagen;
  • Cadillac;
  • Chevrolet;
  • Audi;
  • General Motors;
  • GMC;
  • Jaguar
  • Buick.

And companies such as Daimler Truck and the largest automotive corporation General Motors also announced they would stop doing business in Russia.

“At present, our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine,” General Motors supported our country.

Some companies are forced to leave the Russian market not only because of their principled position, but because of the sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation by Western allies.

The collapse of the ruble

In connection with the introduction of sanctions against the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, problems with the currency began in the country.

On the stock exchange, the ruble collapsed in a few hours more than 30% and reached the level of 1998.

The strongest decline was recorded early in the morning on February 28. For one dollar you could buy 114 rubles, and the euro cost 127.

In exchangers it is sold even more expensive, in some places it reaches up to 250 RUB/USD
