Stock Exchange: Milan continues to run (+ 4.9%), the best in Europe

(ANSA) – MILAN, 09 MAR – Piazza Affari and the stock markets of the Old Continent exceed the mid-day mark in a very strong rebound, especially on the hopes of clearing up the conflict in Ukraine: the Milan Stock Exchange is by some fraction the best among the largest European markets with a 4.9% increase in the Ftse Mib index, after also recording growth of more than five percentage points.

In Europe, which also awaits the crucial ECB meeting tomorrow, Piazza Affari is followed by the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (+ 4.5%) and Paris (+ 4.2%). Further behind Amsterdam (+ 3.5%), Madrid (+ 2.6%), with London cautious in any case up by 1.4%. Futures on the start of Wall Street are positive above the percentage point.

In the main list of Milan, always very volatile, now the best stock is Stellantis, which rises by 9% over 14 euros. Unicredit (+ 8.9%) and Pirelli (+ 8.6%) are confirmed in the spotlight, two groups that had accused the declines of the last phase due to the exposure of part of the business in Russia.

The purchases continue, among other securities, also on Intesa (+ 7%), with Tim rising by 6% to 0.26 euros after a brief suspension in the volatility auction. Sales on Leonardo, on the other hand, which with the other European groups in the Defense sector had benefited from recent increases, as well as on the companies linked to the price of oil and which had also recorded substantial increases with it. In fact, Eni drops by one percentage point, Saipem by 2.9%, Tenaris by 3.2%. (HANDLE).
